Liverpool to London using over 60's bus pass only

Mad Evertonian is making a 48 hour trip from Liverpool to Wembley London using only local transport ie no coaches, trains, cars etc, by bus only. His aim is to reach Wembley ahead of the FA Cup Final between Everton and Chelsea at 3pm, Saturday. He is being sponsored and all monies raised go to the Linda McCartney Centre in Liverpool. Please help.
